SANAM POURHABIB

I’m a licensed person-centred psychotherapist, mental health consultant, and founder of Sans Therapy. Over the past decade, I have lived and worked across North America, the UK, and the Middle East, and currently based in Bahrain.

Growing up in both Western and Middle Eastern cultures, I was fortunate to be surrounded by people who encouraged me to be authentic. They taught me that authenticity is not just about being true to myself but about having the courage to connect with others—to be seen, to listen, and to grow through every interaction. I learned that healing happens in relationships where we feel safe enough to be ourselves, where we are heard, and where we are understood.

At the heart of my practice is creating a space where people feel supported and empowered to explore change in a way that feels right for them. I’m filled with gratitude every day to do the work I do and to be a part of so many people’s lives.

MY APPROACH
Person-centred psychotherapy, developed by Carl Rogers, is based on the belief that everyone has the potential to heal and grow. It recognises that people of all ages need a safe, compassionate, honest, and non-judgmental space where they can be themselves and feel heard and understood. It trusts you are the expert in your own life, knowing that real change comes from within.

This approach invites a collaborative process, shaped by your unique experiences, needs, and goals. As we work together, we’ll create a space where you can share your story at your own pace, focusing on what feels most important to you in the moment. You will begin to notice the connection between your mind and body, supporting you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

I’m here to listen with empathy, support your self-discovery, and guide you toward a more authentic and meaningful life.
